Karma & Chaos: Episode 1 - The DDC (Dead Dads Club)

Hey everyone! If you’ve already listened to our first episode of Karma & Chaos, you know we came in with a mix of raw honesty, a bit of vulnerability, and of course, a lot of laughs. Here’s a quick recap for anyone who might have missed it or needs a refresher.

We kicked things off with Kail checking in from Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We reminisced about our last trip there together years ago, back when she was running a half marathon and I was wisely lounging by the pool with a cocktail in hand. No regrets on my end!

But the real heart of this episode was our story: the fallout, the healing, and the process of finding our way back to each other. After five years apart, we reconnected this past June when Kail reached out after my dad passed away. It was a tough but necessary conversation, and it marked the beginning of us rebuilding our friendship as the healthier, more evolved people we are now.

I also want to address something important. I know there’s a lot of hesitation around me coming in, and I get it. Many of you have spent the last four years listening to the same familiar voices every Tuesday. It’s natural to feel some discomfort or even frustration with this sudden change. I just want to say that we had no intention of coming in and replacing anyone. Your feelings are completely valid, and I understand the chaos this transition might feel like.

I genuinely hope you’ll give us a chance to show what we’re all about. We’re here to bring light, have honest conversations, and share our journeys in the most transparent way possible. I’m all about being open, and if you follow me on social media, you probably know that already. We’re navigating this together, and I’m excited to see where it takes us.

If you haven’t had a chance to listen yet, please do—and let us know what you think. We’re grateful for everyone who’s tuning in, and we can’t wait to bring you along on this new adventure filled with a little chaos and hopefully a lot of good karma.
